Letter of Recommendation for Sean Roberts / Clearwater Builders, LLC  

Sean Roberts was our contractor for an extensive whole-house remodel for an extremely outdated 1970’s split-level home in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. The project involved major renovations that included the following:

• All new Kitchen with custom cabinets
• All new Master bathroom & hall bathroom with custom cabinets & tile-work
• New flooring on both levels, including hardwood flooring
• Acoustic ceiling / “popcorn” removal and ceiling re-texture
• New solid core doors throughout with new hardware
• Install of new windows, including all new framework & insulation
• New trim for all windows and doors, plus crown moulding and baseboards
• Refacing of old brick fireplace
• Plumbing reroutes and upgrades
• Electrical upgrades & repair
• Reroute of air ducts in flooring
• Redesign of front entry and installation of new double entry doors
• Complete tear-down and rebuild of stairs with hardwood components, custom balusters and handrail system

In addition to the above, all demolition work and the rebuild of interior walls were performed.

Further work involved remedial challenges that were inherent to the original construction of the house, not to mention an endless array of details that are too numerous to include.

It is important to further note that Sean, his employees, and subcontractors did all this work whilst we were living in the house, which is certainly not the most ideal situation, to say the least. Even so, Sean and the workmen performed their duties with utmost respect and courtesy toward us at all times. Also, our safety was always a priority, and at the end of each work day tools and equipment were orderly, and work areas cleaned up of dust and debris. We observed and appreciated that Sean runs a “tight ship,” diligently keeping all workers focused and on target with project goals and timelines.

Lastly and most notably, Sean possesses an extensive knowledge base and his workmanship is of the highest order. Of utmost value is the way Sean interacted with us; his character is impeccable. Throughout the entire process he was patient with our many questions and requests for modifications. Interactions with him consistently and admirably demonstrated qualities of integrity, honesty, and fairness.

Bottom line: We love our “new” home! We hold Sean in highest regard and provide this letter of recommendation whole-heartedly, and without reservation.
